Street Food Thursdays

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 8, 11 AM - 2 PM

Enjoy a gathering of up to 20 local food trucks parked along Deaderick Street between 4th Avenue North and 5th Avenue North! Please note: road closure associated with this event. Deaderick Street (4th Avenue North to 5th Avenue North) will be closed from 10 am - 2:30 pm on the day of the event.

 

Nashville Home + Remodeling Expo

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 9 - SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 11, FRIDAY AND SATURDAY: 10 AM - 9 PM; SUNDAY: 10 AM - 6 PM
LOCATION: MUSIC CITY CENTER ADULTS: $10, CHILDREN: $8, 12 AND UNDER: FREE

This three-day show will host celebrities such as Kyle and Justin Peek from DIY Network's Pool Kings, Vern Yip from TLC's Trading Spaces, Marcelle Guilbeau and Ms. Cheap. It will feature exhibits including a Tiny Home Village presented by Franklin Stone, an interactive game room provided by Nashville Billiard & Patio and an Outdoor Living Showdown presented by Belgard. The charity partner is Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville.

 

March to the Roof

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 10, 2 PM
LOCATION: TIN ROOF BROADWAY

Join Tin Roof in a new Nashville tradition, as they pull off the most epic of Mardi Gras events. Head to Tin Roof Broadway on Saturday, February 10 at 2 pm for music and drinks. At 3 pm, the Halfbrass band will lead everyone in a march/dance to Tin Roof Demonbreun to continue the party. Costumes are encouraged.

 

SEYA's 10th Annual Affair to Care

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 10, 8 PM - MIDNIGHT
LOCATION: ROCKETOWN $75

The 10th annual Affair to Care is a Mardi Gras themed ball presented by the Southeastern Young Alumni Charitable Foundation to support pediatric cancer research at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt. Tickets are $75 and include live entertainment provided by The Music City Sound, heavy appetizers and an open bar donated by local partners.

 

Wine, Women & Shoes

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 10, 11 AM - 3 PM
LOCATION: MUSIC CITY CENTER $125 GENERAL ADMISSION

The most fashionable and fabulous event in Nashville returns to town on Saturday, February 10. The sixth annual Wine, Women & Shoes has everything you and your girlfriends could want from a fun weekend outing: wine tastings from some of California's top-rated vintners, exclusive shopping with local and national vendors, luxurious auction items, plus a special celebrity performance. Best of all, every dollar raised goes to support the YWCA’s Weaver Domestic Violence Center—the largest emergency shelter in the state of Tennessee, providing more than 17,000 nights of safety for 450 women and children each year.

 

Cupid's Undie Run

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 10, RACE BEGINS: 2 PM
LOCATION: B.B. KING'S BLUES CLUB & RESTAURANT $40

Put the hilarity in charity with hundreds of Cupid's Undie Run participants taking to the streets in celebration of fundraising for the Children’s Tumor Foundation. Festivities begin at noon and the one-mile fun run starts at 2 pm. Plus, the event will feature a costume contest, an awards celebration and a post-race party. Please note: road closure associated with this event. 2nd Avenue North (Commerce Street to Union Street) will be closed from approximately 1 pm to 3 pm on Saturday, February 10.

 

Valentine's Dinner at Frothy Monkey

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 13 - WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 14, 5 PM - 9 PM
LOCATION: FROTHY MONKEY $50/COUPLE

Frothy Monkey is serving up a special, three-course Valentine's menu on both Tuesday, February 13 and Wednesday, February 14. Dinner is $50 per couple. Lunch & Learn: Tennessee’s African American Musical Heritage

 

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 15, 12:15 PM
LOCATION: TENNESSEE STATE MUSEUM FREE

The award-winning exhibition, “I Have a Voice: Tennessee’s African American Musical Heritage,” organized by the staff at the Tennessee State Museum, continues to travel to museums across the state. This program will include historians Graham Perry, curator of Social History, and Mike Bell, curator of Popular Music, together with Lorenzo Washington, CEO and Founder of Jefferson Street Sound, who will speak about and perform some of the music of black Tennesseans that transformed American music, including spirituals, blues, ragtime, jazz, gospel, rhythm and blues, rock and roll, and soul music. These musicians have influenced and enriched music around the world, from the early blues legends of W. C. Handy and Bessie Smith to the soul hits of STAX Records in Memphis.
