New restaurant: Rush Bowls
1201 Demonbreun Street. 615-610-3590. This quick service restaurant is located in The Gulch. The restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch and serves acai bowls: all-natural fruit blended extra thick and creamy, added juice or milk and an assortment of wholesome ingredients. The bowls are topped with crunchy granola and honey. Hours of operation are Monday - Friday, 7 am - 7 pm and Saturday - Sunday, 8 am - 7 pm.
 

New hotel: The Cambria!
118 8th Avenue South. 615-515-5800. This new hotel is located in SoBro and has 255 rooms. 
 

New restaurant and live music venue: True Music Room and Bar!
118 8th Avenue South. 615-515-5800. The bar and restaurant is located inside The Cambria. The 130-seat dining room also hosts an eclectic calendar of concerts. Serving up craft cocktails and small plates this venue is open Monday - Friday from 6:30 am - 11 am and 4 pm - 10 pm; and Saturday - Sunday from 7 am - noon and 4 pm - 10 pm.

Elements: Chromatics Gallery Opening Reception

Chromatics Second Floor Gallery presents “Elements: Earth, Air, Water & Fire,” an intriguing collection of work by 24 artists, portraying an array of elements both literally and figuratively through photography, painting and sculpture. Preds & Threads Fashion Show

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 23, 6:15 PM - 10 PM
LOCATION: BRIDGESTONE ARENA $150

The Predators Foundation will host its inaugural fashion show featuring the Nashville Predators' team. In partnership with Dillard's, The Mall at Green Hills and King Jewelers, the players will be dressed to the nines as they walk down the Smashville catwalk at Bridgestone Arena. This exclusive event will feature the season's latest trends courtesy of Dillard's (The Mall at Green Hills) and King Jewelers. Guests will attend a cocktail reception with Predators' coaching staff, broadcasters and alumni, while bidding on an extensive silent auction. VIP guests will be invited to the Lexus Lounge after the fashion show for an after party with the Nashville Predators' team.

 

Nashville Predators Fangtastic 5K Run/Walk

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 24, 8:30 AM
LOCATION: BRIDGESTONE ARENA $29 - $49

This annual 5K takes runners and walkers through downtown Nashville and the surrounding area, beginning and ending at Bridgestone Arena. The entry fee includes a 5K T-shirt, a unique promo code redeemable for 50% off the single-game rate in select locations for one of these home games: March 8 vs. Anaheim, March 27 vs. Minnesota or March 29 vs. San Jose, finishers medal upon completion of the 5K, one free domestic draft beer with the drink tab from your runner's bib at TAVERN '96, post race nutrition and more. Please note: road closures associated with this event. 5th Avenue South from Broadway to Demonbreun will close at 6 am and reopen at 12:30 pm. The additional road closures on this map will happen as early as 6:30 am and re-open as late as noon on Saturday, February 24.

 

CSA Fair

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 24, 10 AM - 2 PM
LOCATION: NASHVILLE FARMERS' MARKET FREE

Join Nashville Farmers' Market for the fourth annual CSA Fair to learn how you can support local agriculture this year while also eating delicious local food. This free event offers you a chance to meet local farmers, discuss growing methods, learn harvest schedules, pick-up locations, and access general information on what a CSA program is and how it supports our local agriculture. Each farmer will have a booth with photos of their farms, lists of the products they grow, how they grow and where they have their pick ups. There are several different CSA models in the Nashville area and this will give the public a chance to find the one that fits them and their families. Plus, Cooking Up will be sampling during the event and a kids' activity area will be available to help make it easier for parents. 

 

Our Kids Soup Sunday

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 25, 11 AM - 2 PM

Grab your spoon for the 25th annual Our Kids Soup Sunday. This grand tasting event features delicious soups from more than 50 local restaurants. Save the date! Our 15th Annual Downtown Home Tour is Sunday, April 15 from noon - 5 pm. Tickets are only $10. Basic information is posted on our website. We will have more details (including stop locations) upcoming.

Cheap Parking Options

Park for only $5 weeknights after 6 pm and all day Saturday or Sunday at the Metro Courthouse Garage. Or, pay only $10 after 5 pm on weeknights or all day Saturday or Sunday at the Library Garage.
