Four talented Nashville artists come together to pay tribute to music makers who inspire generations in the production series, En Hommage (translation: "In Tribute"). The production debuts with a tribute to the 90's R&B vocal group, and “Funky Divas,” En Vogue. As En Vogue is the first honored in the production series, the title is an inspired take on the quartette's play on their own French moniker. The series debut brings a well-rounded concert embodying the reminiscent sounds of the popular recording artists while incorporating a full band, live vocal performance, and routines choreographed by the founder of Nashville's Sweat N' Seduction, Jasmine Porter. This show features Nashville based performers: Lo Carter, Katrice Donaldson, Javaria Porter, and April Rucker - four gifted singers who boast vast resumes, working both nationally and abroad.
Gretchen Peters wrote “The Chill of an Early Fall” (George Strait), “Independence Day” (Martina McBride), “Let That Pony Run” (Pam Tillis), “My Baby Loves Me” (Martina McBride), “The Secret of Life” (Faith Hill), “When You Love Someone” (Bryan Adams), and “You Don’t Even Know Who I Am” (Patty Loveless). Peters has released several critically-acclaimed albums and in 2015, she was honored in the museum’s Poets and Prophets: Salute to Legendary Songwriters series.
