Enjoy a gathering of up to 20 local food trucks parked along Deaderick Street between 4th Avenue North and 5th Avenue North every Thursday! The trucks serve lunch from 11 am to 2 pm. The food truck line-up is usually posted here. Please note: road closure associated with this event. Deaderick Street (from 4th Avenue to 5th Avenue) will be closed from 10 am - 2:30 pm on the day of the event.
FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 30, 6 PM - 7 PM

Mayor David Briley cordially invites you to attend the annual Metro Nashville Christmas Tree Lighting. This year's ceremony will be a family-friendly winter celebration featuring performances by the Fisk Jubilee Singers, Lake Providence Missionary Baptist Church Choir, Nashville Classical Pop Choir, and the Isaiah T. Creswell Middle School of the Arts Choir. Food will be available for purchase from local food trucks. This holiday event will also be held in partnership with the Davidson County Sheriff's Office to collect toys for the Last Minute Toy Store. All attendees are asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy or other age-appropriate gift in the $10-$25 price range for ages newborn to eighteen. The event will also feature a live broadcast from Mix 92.9 FM, along with appearances by Santa, Gnash, T-Rac and Booster. Those arriving by car can park in Nissan Stadium Parking Lot E and Lot F for free starting at 4 pm on November 30.

Art galleries throughout downtown host receptions and art openings every month at the First Saturday Art Crawl. Most galleries serve free wine and other refreshments. See this month's gallery map. Enjoy live music on the platform on 5th Avenue North by Free Spirit Singers performing your favorite Christmas carols. Woolworth on 5th will host Holiday Karaoke on another platform on 5th Ave. Get your holiday photo made at the International Black Film Festival's photo booth. Enjoy live art by the National Museum of African American Music. Parnassus' book mobile, Peggy, will be parked on 5th for a book signing by Heidi Ross. Plus, enjoy live music from jazz vocalist Sonja Hopkins and Embers Music. Two Gray Line Art Crawl Downtown Trolleys will provide complimentary shuttle service along the route from 6 pm - 10 pm. You can purchase parking in advance here.
Please note: road closure associated with this event. The southbound lane on 5th Avenue North (Church Street to Union Street) will be closed beginning as early as 3 pm and ending as late as 10 pm on Saturday, December 1.

Get into the holiday spirit by joining the festivities downtown during the 65th annual Nashville Christmas Parade! Kid Rock will be this year's grand marshal. The parade will feature musical entertainment by more than 15 artists, giant balloons and floats, marching bands and much more. The parade, hosted by Piedmont Natural Gas, will benefit Piedmont's Share the Warmth program as well as the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. New this year, the parade will begin at the intersection of 1st Ave North and Brandon Street and will travel south towards Broadway, where it will turn right onto Broadway and end at the intersection of 8th Avenue North & Broadway. Stretch and Connect is a way to connect to Small World Yoga teachers, students, and our mission. Once a month, they will feature one free SWY outreach class and teacher. The Tennessee Titans will take on the New York Jets at Nissan Stadium on Sunday, December 2. Please note: road closures associated with this event. The Woodland Street Bridge will close beginning at noon and will be available to only pedestrians and shuttle buses through the conclusion of the game. Plus, the Korean War Veterans Memorial Bridge will be open to eastbound and westbound traffic until the beginning of the fourth quarter. At the beginning of the fourth quarter, westbound traffic on the Korean War Veterans Memorial Bridge will be open for game traffic only. All other westbound traffic will be diverted at South 4th Street and I-24.

GEISTxNOLA offers an eclectic five-course prix fixe menu from visiting Chef Seamus Rozycki at Geist on Wednesday, December 5. Chef Rozycki will offer a unique take on New Orleans cuisine that is close to his heart and inspired by his time at James Beard recognized restaurants La Petite Grocery and Toups South, both located in the Crescent City. Warm up and indulge in dishes like buttermilk biscuits with chicken liver mousse and pepper jelly and hearty Chicken and Andouille Gumbo with potato salad. Crafted to pair with Chef Rozycki’s menu, Geist Bar Director Freddy Schwenk will also offer four specialty cocktails for $13 each inspired by the vibrant city of New Orleans. A long-running Christmas tradition, the Waffle Shop will serve homemade waffles, hot chicken or eggs, spiced tea and coffee. Plus, the event will include live music, a silent auction, bake sale and free tours of the historic Egyptian-revival church.
