Street Eats

THURSDAY, JANUARY 3, 11 AM - 2 PM

Enjoy a gathering of up to 20 local food trucks parked along Deaderick Street between 4th Avenue North and 5th Avenue North every Thursday! The trucks serve lunch from 11 am to 2 pm. The food truck line-up is usually posted herePlease note: road closure associated with this event. Deaderick Street (from 4th Avenue to 5th Avenue) will be closed from 10 am - 2:30 pm on the day of the event.

 

Monster Jam

SATURDAY, JANUARY 5, 1 PM & 7 PM; SUNDAY, JANUARY 6, 2 PM
LOCATION: BRIDGESTONE ARENA $22 - $80

Monster Jam is the most action-packed live event on four wheels where world-class drivers compete in front of capacity crowds in both monster truck racing and freestyle competitions. Celebrating 25 years of adrenaline-charged family entertainment, Monster Jam combines spontaneous entertainment with the ultimate off-road, motorsport competition. This event features the most recognizable trucks in the world including Grave Digger, Max-DTM, El Toro Loco, Monster Mutt and many more. Monster Jam leaves you on the edge of your seat as these competitors thrill fans with jaw-dropping displays of gravity-defying feats.

 

FirstBank First Saturday Art Crawl

SATURDAY, JANUARY 5, 6 PM - 9 PM
LOCATION: 5TH AVENUE OF THE ARTS FREE

Art galleries throughout downtown host receptions and art openings every month at the FirstBank First Saturday Art Crawl. Most galleries serve free wine and other refreshments. See this month's gallery map. Two Gray Line Art Crawl Downtown Trolleys will provide complimentary shuttle service along the route from 6 pm - 10 pm. Hatch Show Print Block Party

SATURDAY, JANUARY 5, 6 PM - 8 PM
LOCATION: COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME AND MUSEUM $50

Revel in the creative atmosphere of Hatch Show Print as you work with the shop’s image blocks and ink to create a design that you can hand-print onto paper, a tote bag, or a t-shirt. The block party will party will happen from 6 pm - 8 pm during the First Saturday Art Crawl on January 5.

 

Grand Opening: Kim Barry Studio

SATURDAY, JANUARY 5, 6 PM - 9 PM
LOCATION: DIANA WARNER STUDIO FEATURING KIM BARRY STUDIO FREE

Kim Barry Studio opens at Diana Warner Studio inside the Nashville Arcade. Kim is a Pittsburgh-born, internationally exhibited artist who recently moved to Nashville. Her work has traveled the the world since 2001, including The Louvre's L'Art Contemporaire Festival 2015. She has traveled the country creating experimental art studios - Suite 106 in Florida, West Eleven in Los Angeles, & SixTHreeFouR in Pittsburgh. She was a recent represented artist and gallery director at DBO Gallery. She is so pleased to join the 5th Avenue of the Arts District and be welcomed into the Diana Warner Studio. They will be celebrate with art, drinks, food, and a special guest DJ appearance by Michael Hilton. 

 

Nashville Predators vs. Toronto Maple Leafs Watch Party at Ole Red

Join Germantown bar and restaurant Geist from 5 - 10 pm on Wednesday, January 9 for a special dinner with tropical Cuban flare. The menu features five courses and amuse-bouche with dishes like Whitefish Ceviche with Tostones and Roasted Pork Belly Porchetta with Mojo and Black Bean Congri for $50 per person.
