Please Note: Road Closures!

Nashville Metro Water Services began working at the intersection of Broadway and 8th last night, and will work from 6:30 pm until 6 am daily through Thursday, January 6. Traffic on Broadway will be reduced to two lanes inbound and two lanes outbound. There will be no through traffic while crews are working. Southbound traffic on 8th must turn left or right on Broadway. Northbound traffic on 8th will have to turn at McGavock Street.

25th Annual Nashville Boat and Sportshow

LOCATION: NASHVILLE CONVENTION CENTER $8

Shop for boats, fishing tackle, fishing lodges, charter companies and resorts, and marine accessories and services. Many boats including large yachts, houseboats, and fishing boats will be on display. With great seminars and activities for kids too, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Kids under 15, and anyone with an active military ID, enter free.

Art galleries throughout downtown host receptions and art openings every month. Most galleries serve free wine and other refreshments. Team Rio 2011 Kick Off Rally

SATURDAY, JANUARY 8, 10 AM - 11 AM
LOCATION: ROCKETOWN FREE

Diamond Rio’s Jimmy Olander will host this year’s Team Rio Running and Walking for Big Brothers Big Sisters Kick-Off meeting. This information session will provide details on the training schedule for the Country Music Marathon, a question and answer session, and an introduction to the coaches, band members and mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters.


The Disposables: An Art Show, Concert, and Benefit for The Contributor

SATURDAY, JANUARY 8, 6 PM - 9 PM
LOCATION: DOWNTOWN PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH FREE

An evening event supporting The Contributor, Nashville's street newspaper. There will be food, vendor awards, and photography taken by newspaper vendors with disposable cameras. Photography will be on sale, benefiting the newspaper. Entertainment for the night will feature Julie Lee & Friends, Robby Hecht & Lex Price, Elizabeth Foster, Nathan Steven Phillips, Odessa Jorgensen, Angel Snow, Jason Goforth, Sarah Masen Dark, Steve Masen & Friends, Harvey Gerrard, Anita Smith, Sierra Hull & Friends, and Dave Perkins. Donations for The Contributor will also be accepted.


Nashville Predators vs. Minnesota Wild

TUESDAY, JANUARY 11, 7 PM
LOCATION: BRIDGESTONE ARENA $33 - $263

It's a Super Tuesday at Bridgestone Arena, and the Predators are dedicating the game to their fans. A pair of upper level tickets are $42 and a pair of lower level tickets are $92.
