Check out the new intuitive design and interactive features of www.nashvilledowntown.com and www.parkitdowntown.com. Quickly search through over 500 downtown events scheduled in August, 160 dining options, 115 places to shop and more.

When you select a specific location, a map appears along with other details such as any upcoming events and the closest parking locations, dining options, nightlife, arts and entertainment and shopping!
 

We have also added a mobile-friendly version of our website. This site is viewable with any mobile phone that has a web browser. You can save (or bookmark) this site to your home screen. An icon will be placed on the home screen alongside your other applications. To access the app, simply visit m.nashvilledowntown.com.

NashvilleCyclist.com Criterium Race Series

Wed, Aug 25. LP Field. One Titans Way. 5:45 pm - 8 pm. $15 entry fee for cyclists, free for spectators. Criterium racing in four cycling categories. Cyclists race along a one kilometer course several times. Prizes awarded in each category. Races are located in LP Field parking lots A, B, C, and D. Final event in this year's race series.

 

Nashville Lifestyles' 5th Annual Bartender Bash

Thurs, Aug 26. Union Station Hotel Lobby. 1001 Broadway. 6 - 8 pm. $25 in advance, $30 at the door. Nashville Lifestyles celebrates the fifth annual Bartender Bash. Local bartenders will compete for Best Grey Goose Martini and Most Creative Cocktail. Admission includes two complimentary Grey Goose cocktails, tasty hors d'oeuvres and live music.

 

Blue Jean Ball Informational Meeting

Thurs, Aug 26. Buffalo Billiards. 154 2nd Avenue N. 313-7665. 5:30 pm - 7 pm. Free. The Blue Jean Ball recruitment event is an informational meeting to let people know how to become involved with the the March of Dimes and their new benefit event, the Blue Jean Ball - scheduled for November 11 at Buffalo Billiards. The ball will feature a fashion show, silent auction, and cocktail party.

 

YWCA's Rock 'N Art Live

Fri, Aug 27. Hard Rock Cafe. 100 Broadway. 6 pm - midnight. $15. Rock 'N Art Live is a benefit concert and live auction, combining music and art to heal the hearts and lives of women affected by domestic violence. Performances by Memarie Gayle, Minnie Murphy, Matt Warren, Jaime Fox, Marla Cannon, Dylan Altman, Throwing Gravity and Paris Delane. Live auction items include a celebrity signed guitar, celebrity sports items, designer jewelry, art by local artists, a five-star day spa, dinner with limo transportation and more. Plus, a silent auction. All proceeds benefit the YWCA.

 

2nd Annual Music City BBQ Festival

Fri, Aug 27 - Sat, Aug 28. Riverfront Park. 11 am - 11 pm on Friday and 10 am - 11 pm on Saturday. $10 - $75. Over 100 BBQ cook teams will compete for cash and prizes in this Tennessee State Championship event sanctioned by the Memphis BBQ Network and the Kansas City BBQ Society. Saturday attendees can sample the teams' fare during the "Peoples Choice Award" in the Grand Ol' Porker Arena. Plus, a Viking Cooking demonstration and a mini brew fest. Live music from 6:30 pm - 10:30 pm on Friday and from 7 pm - 10:30 pm on Saturday. Headliners include Jonell Mosser on Friday night and Delbert McClinton on Saturday night. Additional activities include the Kid Fun Zone.

 

Lunchtime Concert Series

Tues, Aug 31. Main Library, Courtyard. 615 Church Street. 862-5800. 11:30 am. Free. Bring a lunch to the library courtyard and enjoy a concert every Tuesday through October 5. Grammy-winning classical cellist Sara Sant' Ambrogio will perform on August 31.
