John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge
Interactive music composer Aaron Hoke Doenges, in partnership with Rivive! Nashville, will install his work Wade [Music for River and People] on the Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge April 5 - 29. For this piece, Doenges downloads live data about local rivers from the United States Geological Survey website and translates the information into music. At the same time, when people move across the bridge, these musical elements are altered to reflect the impact the people of Nashville have on local waterways. The project is funded in part by the Metropolitan Nashville Arts Commission. Free and open to the public.
