Nashville Downtown Partnership Recognizes Exceptional Projects in 2020, Releases Annual Report

NASHVILLE, Tenn. –  The Nashville Downtown Partnership has recognized eight transformational projects delivered to the downtown neighborhood in 2020. Awardees in the categories of LIVE, WORK, PLAY and INVEST represent developments, institutions and public spaces that contribute significantly to the value of Nashville’s urban core.

The Nashville Downtown Partnership has presented awards annually for 25 years. The pandemic, which has delivered an economic blow and disrupted momentum in Nashville just like it has throughout the world, presents a unique lens through which we can look at the progress of Nashville. President and CEO Tom Turner: “2020 has shown us that, in truly great cities, these elements don’t cease to exist during unusual and difficult times, as evidenced by these projects.”

This year, award winners are recognized in a video online at nashvilledowntown.com, in lieu of the Partnership’s Annual Meeting & Award Luncheon. Mayor John Cooper and Governor Bill Lee address award winners with not only recognition, but thanks for working together to build a great city. The award announcement is accompanied by the Partnership’s release of its Annual Report. Presenting key facts and figures, the Annual Report finds much to be optimistic about despite a most challenging year. The public can review the Annual Report for a summary of downtown’s economic impact and the ways the Partnership deploys resources to ensure downtown remains a vibrant neighborhood, business district, entertainment hub, and a catalyst for investment and transformation.
